In the last segment of Michael's business journey, we learned the power of a deadline, if you missed it, you can find it here. In this segment we'll take a look at the consequences of a deadline.
Michael set a date prior to having his ducks in a row, unlike so many of us he knew that having a deadline would dictate how to accomplish the details.
By this point he'd convinced a local restaurant to allow him to present there, giving him only 10 days to do all of the legwork for his presentation.
He set off to find customers, calling every senior center in the area. He convinced one to allow him to post fliers, and built a bond with the director of activities there. Quickly he found out that using salesgenie he could target people 55+ in our area with an internet connection. So rather than flyering every door, he laser targeted the people within walking distance that fit his target market.
Thanks to his relationship the with director of activities, one day before his scheduled workshop, with one confirmed attendee, he stepped to the senior center stage. He did an amazing job, having practiced for hours in the mirror the night before. They loved him and he got about 10% of the room to commit to attending! Not bad for such short notice and a rookie presenter.Michael's success can be attributed to his MASSIVE ACTION because he created a deadline.
