Even if you aren't a fan of the Star Wars franchise films, you would have to be living under a rock NOT to know who Yoda is.
The greatest Jedi knight ever, Yoda not only had a formidable reputation as an incredible warrior, he became an even more powerful figure when he imparted his knowledge and skills to other young Jedi wannabes. His wisdom is sought, his skills are feared and he is a scarce teacher which makes what he has to teach even that much more valuable.

I've always said, you can choose the trial and error method, trying things, trouble-shooting and travelling through the school of hard-knocks. Or, you can find those people who have already taken those difficult paths to help guide you.
It's a good idea to take an assessment of yourself, your paths, your business and your pace several times a year. Now is as good a time as any to take inventory of these things. And, for those that are not quite what you want them to be, devise a plan to motor ahead and discover what it is you want. It's also a great time to revisit that 30,00 foot view of your business. It's a healthy process and it isn't done just once, but periodically as one grows and develops.
Mastermind groups are a tremendous option allowing many opportunities for personal and business growth. Mastermind groups offer a combination of brainstorming, education, peer accountability and support in a group setting to sharpen your business and personal skills. As a member of several mastermind groups, I can tell you that the relationships and business advice found there, not to mention contacts, are invaluable.
Perhaps there is a colleague in your practice area that you have admired. If you want to learn from him or her, reach out and offer to buy him or her lunch or dinner to pick their brain.
